Free Software – Free software can challenge dystopia
At the end of last month, the FSF reminded us in a post that we all must help protect user freedom, which is why many of us should join the thousands of free software advocates who are already associate members of the Free Software Foundation (FSF). And he also informs us that this month, we can become one of the two hundred new associate members, before July 11, for only $12 a month ($6 for students).

Open Source – LinuxFr.org joins the OSI, strengthening the French-speaking community
The OSI organization informs us this month that it continues to grow, as usual, and that this time it has been due to the union (as an affiliated organization) of the web LinuxFr.org, which is considered the largest French-speaking community of Linux users. According to them, this marks an important step in deepening their collaboration with French-speaking Open Source communities and highlights the community efforts that the OSI has long supported in support of global open collaboration.
LinuxFr.org is one of the most influential French-speaking websites dedicated to open source software. It was founded in 1998, the same year as the Open Source Initiative. It is entirely community-driven and serves as a hub for news, opinion pieces, software releases, event announcements, and thoughtful commentary on the Linux and open source communities.
