The second beta of Mageia 7 with LibreOffice 6.2 is here

The Mageia Project launched this weekend a new beta version of his next series, Mageia 7, which is expected to arrive sometime this year.

Mageia 7 beta 2 arrives approximately three months after the first release with updated components that include Linux Kernel 4.20 series, RC (final candidate) version of Mesa 19.0 graphics suite, global RPM 4.14.2 package manager, as well as the upcoming KDE Plasma 5.14.2, GNOME 3.30 and Xfce 4.13.4 graphics environments.

Also included in this second beta is the browsers Mozilla Firefox 64 and Chromium 70as well as the recently released LibreOffice 6.2. Several programming languages ​​were also updated in this new build which improves metadata support for AppStream for a better experience in selecting software in KDE Plasma and GNOME.

Mageia 7 is coming with KDE Plasma 5.15 and GNOME 3.32

Among other changes implemented in the second launch beta of the next Mageia 7 we can mention better support for laptops with Nvidia Optimus technology, better support for ARM devices, and many security fixes.

The final release of Mageia 7 is expected sometime this year with the final versions of KDE Plasma 5.15 and GNOME 3.32, but not before its third beta that will arrive in the next few weeks.
