The new version of KDE Plasma 5.16 arrives and these are its news


The new version of KDE Plasma 5.16 has just been released, created with the KDE Frameworks 5 platform and the Qt 5 library with OpenGL / OpenGL ES. Where in this new version of KDE Plasma there are new improvements to the environment.

Such is the case of the notification system which was completely rewritten. Another important change in KDE Plasma 5.16 is implementing initial support for a Wayland-based session when using proprietary NVIDIA drivers.

Systems with a proprietary NVIDIA driver running Qt 5.13 also have issues with graphics distortion after returning from sleep mode.

In a session based on Wayland, it has appeared by dragging and dropping application windows using XWayland and Wayland.
