Well, as the title says, in the version 13 of the Mail Client de Mozilla we will have the option of using instant messaging integrated into the same interface.
Apparently the integration will be achieved using the project Instantbird, the multiprotocol instant messaging client of Mozilla. Instantbird currently support the protocols AIM, Facebook Chat, Gadu-Gadu, Google Talk, Groupwise, ICQ, IRC, MSN, MySpaceIM, Netsoul, QQ, Simple, Twitter, XMPP, Yahoo y Yahoo JAPAN. Plugins with additional protocols such as accessories.
As far as I understand, the option to use the IM Client is optional, and the notifications of new messages will not be intrusive when we are working with the Mail Client. As announced Gary Kwong on his blog, we will be able to test this functionality starting tomorrow in the version Nightly which confirms that the new version of Thunderbird should leave today 😀
Mhh is interesting, although it sure will not be at the level of options like kopete or kmess.
If they offer a technology with audio, it would be great. Wait more than a century for google with its famous gtalk for linux and they never took them out, since skype is seeing it more problematic since it became Microsoft.
the integration of instant messaging looks great, where you can download
I don't know what use it will be, but I think it will be very heavy.
They could make it lighter like firefox (which becomes a fat one already), and not these features that it is not that they do not like but that it would be better to make it more efficient
a good option…. We'll see how it is…. I'm still with version 7.0.1
Shoemaker to your shoes…. The program will be heavier and will stay halfway, yes but I can't. There will always be more complete versions.
Agree that a skype is missing (now that it is in Microsoft's hands we are fixed) for linux yaaaaaaaa.
Well yes, I also think it will be heavy, it is more and firefox is heavy. I'm not saying direct competition (say Chrome, chromium, Opera, Internet Explorer)
for light things there will always be terminal programs, although that is not to everyone's taste.
As the farmers say:
It never rains to everyone's liking !!!
I couldn't install ren sabayon so better install kmail
