What is AmayaOS?
AmayaOS is a UNIX-like operating system capable of running fast on a 75MHz Pentium I and 16MiB of RAM.
It is developed by "AmayaOS Team" and maintained by the educational association liGNUx, and is licensed under the GNU GPL v3. It has recently released its first stable version, version 0.06 which has a goal of reaching 3,000 downloads before the next version is released.
The operating system itself has a simple desktop environment and a terminal, which has basic commands (ls, cd, memstat, touch, mkdir, cp…).
The minimum requirements for this version are an x86 PC with at least 12MiB of RAM and the recommended ones are a Pentium I (75-120MHz) and 16MiB of RAM.
It can be tested in a virtual machine (Qemu, VirtualBox, VMWare, Bochs) or in a real PC, I also leave you a video running on a Pentium MMX 233 with 32MiB of RAM.

from the same creators of amaya browser?
No, from Dan Rulos! https://twitter.com/txaroski/status/482149150013005824/photo/1
Nope. The creators of Amaya Browser are unfortunately the W3C.
I'll try it, to peel it for a while it doesn't look bad
You forgot to mention two interesting facts: it is not GNU / Linux and the ISO is 6,3 MB
If you notice it is an operating system similar to UNIX (like UNIX), that does not mean that it is GNU / Linux, since this is not the only system like UNIX.
In our beloved Honduras, the requisite machines abound ... and how we want to introduce children to Unix / Linux is the best news we have received. Thank you…
REGARDS!!!!
Waste of time…
because what you say?
because it's linux: troll
Nope, because is a fork of FreeNOS. : v
I also believed that it was Linux, what I loved the most about this website is the fact that it is in Spanish. I've downloaded it and I'm going to see soon how interesting it gets. I would like to learn a bit and cooperate with an ARM build for the Raspberry.
These kinds of operating systems are not worth it.
6Mb LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
