Apricots, another of my entertaining 2D games

Truth be told, I like games with "Extreme lack of graph", if in the pure style of ATARI, since the only requirement that I look for, is that they entertain me.

Apricots we found out KZKG ^ Gaara and me when we used Archlinux and since then I play it about 5 times a day. The objective of the game is very simple, we only have to take off a plane from our base and destroy the enemy bases and planes.

With each defeated objective, points are acquired, and the first one with the highest score will win. Both the planes, the gameplay, as well as the amount of points and enemies, can be changed in a configuration file. There are houses and civil buildings, which, if destroyed, will subtract the points achieved. There are also anti-area defense towers that will take you down.

And that is more or less the thing. To install it on Debian I had to grab the package from the repositories Arch, and I leave them here:

Apricots

To install it, they only have to decompress the file, and copy its content as ordered inside. That is, what is inside the folder bin for / usr / bin and what is in Share well for /usr/share. Then they just have to call the application from the terminal or with the application launcher ( [Alt] + [F2] ).

The settings can be changed in the file /usr/share/apricots/apricots.cfg

I remember playing a very similar video game on my father's PC (for MS-DOS). It was monochromatic, the one you show is a graphic wonder next to it.

I added the pack to the chakra ccr, in case anyone wants to try it. The game is good 🙂

Shh, don't touch on that topic because it gets depressed when you remember it. 😀

Muahahahaha .. I think El Arenoso doesn't even remember Arch with how well he's doing Debian.

What I miss the most is my KDE 4.8.1 T_T

OpenSUSE is a good option to keep KDE up to date… 4.8.1 works wonders. The disadvantage it has with respect to .deb is the lack of packages in official repositories but thanks to Build Service we can have almost all existing packages .
I really like Debian, it is my favorite distro, but OpenSUSE's KDE is very well integrated

A very good game, I had a good time playing it today. Maybe I should do a little crawl manual.

    Greetings.

When trying to run it from the console, both as Root or as User, it throws me this error:

apricots: error while loading shared libraries: libalut.so. 0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

and both the bin file is copied in / usr / bin and the share folder is copied completely in / usr / share ...

    any advice?

    thanks!

Jo ho ho .. You have to fly the plane and defeat your enemies, destroying them and their bases so that you accumulate the most points.
