Quite a long time ago here. de Devuan, the fork of Debian looking to create a stable distro without Systemd. We found out through Softpedia,  that this project is already a reality and is available for download Devuan Jessie Beta2.

Devuan is loaded with various preconfigured applications, the default desktop is MATE, although we can install other desktops, as happens in original Debian.

I've been testing it all afternoon and it shows that the distribution is still a long way from maturing, but it has the necessary equipment to create a great distro. The packages libsystemd0 y udev they still point to the originals, in addition to still missing several things to completely stop depending on systemd, but they are on the right track
