Available to download Firefox 8

We can now download the new version of Firefox, although the announcement has not yet been made officially by the team of Mozilla.

Once it is officially released, we will bring you the most interesting news, but for now we know that one of the most interesting news is the integration with Twitter through the search bar, where we can up, user namesInter alia.

Also one of the novelties is that third-party add-ons will not be enabled by default, so the user will have to do it manually after receiving a warning.

Download in Spanish.

For me I still stick with version 7.0.1 until the plugins I use are available in Firefox 8. I feel that Mozilla I should be working on it instead of imitating Google Chrome.

Although Chrome is winning the battle little by little, Firefox seems to have put the batteries and has also thought about security that never hurts. I read it here: http://www.nortonfanclub.com/2011/1

I am not liking the path that firefox is following at all, let's see if someone makes a fork with personality that does not give a damn about chrome movements

And not so much. Anyway Iceweasel follows in the footsteps of Firefox.

I don't know much about the Iceweasel project, except that it is a 100% free and open source version. Does it have advantages to use it? As always, thank you Elav.

Iceweasel is actually Firefox but with a different name and some changed components (don't ask me what they are, because I don't know them for sure) ..

The "VERSIONITIS" is taking over everyone no matter the final product.

On the one hand, it is clear that there is a change in the numbering criteria of its versions. If they had continued with 3.1, 3.2, 3.5, 4, 4.2, etc. And it may not be more than that. Now every time they integrate a new function, even if it is small, the version is named with the next integer.

I am not so concerned that every couple of months it increases its numbering in that way. The important thing is that they continue to develop and that they try to improve and innovate.

What does seem to me, perhaps, a problem, is that some important extensions are lagging behind without being able to keep up with each new version of Firefox.

I found an article that explains the new Firefox development cycle and the change in version numbering criteria very well. You can find it here http://mozillavenezuela.org/2011/05/24/el-nuevo-ciclo-de-desarrollo-de-firefox/

    Greetings.
