Available Jupiter 0.1.2 now written in Python

We recently told you about pyjupiter, a version in Jupiter PyGTK, the applet that helps us better manage laptop batteries (among other things) ..

Well, via webup8d I find out that it has been officially launched Jupiter version 0.1.2 but using Python instead of C #. This version comes with a AppIndicator for Ubuntu, as well as a notification area applet for those who don't use this distro.

If you use Ubuntu you can install it from the Webup8d repositories:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/jupiter
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install jupiter

Download RPM version: download.
Download for other distros via SourceForge.

There is no better, it just depends on which language you prefer to use, you will not gain anything in particular in performance.

Does anyone know if they will port it for more distros, because in debian I could install it but it does not work well, then the icon disappears and there is no way to make it work again, I use debian Whezzy and XFCE
