Mozilla Firefox enters again to compete against the existing high browsers with its version 44, its latest update which, although it does not provide major visible changes with respect to version 43, is committed to innovative improvements in security and privacy. The free software company released its Mozilla Firefox 44 update on January 26, available for operating systems, Windows, Linux, OS X and Android.
One of the most striking changes in this version is the disabling of the support for RC4 encryption about HTTPS connections, which although it is one of the most used protocols, has already been talking about its vulnerabilities and some holes that this encryption leaves in the security of the browser.
Another of the slightly more visible novelties, and represents the most important characteristics of which we have been talking, is the ability to receive the push notifications of websites, with the user's prior permission. With this novelty, Firefox is level with the Chrome browser, which previously had already included push notifications in April of last year for its version Chrome 42.
Unlike Firefox's existing web notifications, update 44 you can receive push notifications even when the site does not load in a tab, always ensuring the security and privacy of the user. The usefulness of push notifications are many, they allow you to check updates and news on websites such as email, weather, as well as numerous social networks.
For fans of Streaming, Firefox 44 will now enable support for H.264 / Mp4, a commonly used video codec, which provides better performance in video playback, especially on platforms HTML5, including the services of streaming.
With this update, it is a good time to try this free and open source browser. You can enter the portal Mozilla Firefox and download / update your browser, and test the news of Mozilla Firefox 44.

Mozilla is by far the best web browser of all time….
There are not many browsers that support so many platforms. Nice job.
I think it's great that push notifications have been implemented ... but I already have it in version 44 and the truth is that at the moment the possibility of activating them on any website has not appeared except those that already allowed it, such as Telegram Web or WhatsApp Web.
