Available Razor-qt 0.5.0

On October 13, the project Razor-qt has announced the publication of the version 0.5.0 from his lightweight desktop environment based on Qt libraries. This release includes numerous bug fixes and performance improvements, as well as additional new features and components.

Among the novelties of this version we can highlight the following:

  • A redesigned control center, with a new desktop theme selector.
  • A new keyboard shortcut configuration module.
  • A new LightDM access manager configuration module.
  • A new message notification service.
  • New connectors for the panel: volume control, temperature sensors, network monitor, CPU monitor ...
  • A new graphic element of the desktop: a notepad.

Razor-qt 0.5.0 is now available in the community project repositories for openSUSE 12.1, 12.2, and Tumbleweed. If you already have version 0.4.1 installed from these repositories, just update from YaST or from the terminal (as root):

zypper up

Razor-qt is not officially supported by the openSUSE project, but version 0.4.1 is already available in the community project repositories. The easiest way to install Razor-qt is to use 1-Click Install.
