With some delay, the 10 best desktops of the month of our followers arrive in Google+, Facebook y Diaspora. It was really very difficult to decide because they sent us excellent captures. However, some really good specimens were left out of the final list for not including necessary details (system, environment, theme, icons, etc.).
As always, this month there is a very interesting variety of distros, environments, icons, etc. To learn, imitate and enjoy! Will yours be on the list?
1. Christian Duran
OS: Linux Mint 16 Icons: Faience Conky: Harmattan Wallpaper
2. Tomas Del Valle Palacios
Desk for May: Ubuntu 14.04 LXDE Zoncolor Green color theme Icons: Moka Cairo Dock Conky: future_conky + dot circle
what good desks! each of them should get a distribution !!!!!!!! Ahem…………. Ha! is that lately I see distributions that are just a nice desktop.
Very good!
regards
One thing is clear: regardless of the desktop environment that is used, it seems that the Docks prevail in most of the captures. For my part, I have never seen the need to include it on my desktops (beyond temporary tests). I guess I ended up burned out of using Mac OS X for a season. I always prefer to have the bar where the windows are minimized.
I guess it's getting used to, like everything. Anyway, very good catches. The myth that Linux looks graphically old I think has been largely dismantled.
The one with number 4, could someone tell me what icons, wallpaper and theme it uses? because Gnome 3 (seems) is amazing with that look. Greetings and thank you.
The number 3, the number 8 and the number 9 should not be in the ranking. They are overloaded, regardless of the general design, they include elements that do not fit, well ... I do not like them. The others are similar, apparently by putting the Faenza icons or derivatives or the Numix that are in fashion today, it is enough to appear among the 10.
With great joy I received the news of being in the Ranking, there is much to learn. For me this is a very important point and it favors the GNU / Linux world over other OS. Desktop customization draws too much attention to the home user.
All excellent desks, but this time the yapa is not mine, Pablo, maybe you got confused. I no longer change my openbox for another environment and I think it is a bit unfair to take the credit of another. regards

As always excellent captures and excellent desks!

Very good work, apparently there is a trend in the use of Numix packages ...
What compl. used to display desktop data?
Excellent!!

Hi, I liked your desktop, but I can't find the spotify widget, what is it?
2 and 4 are incredible… 🙂
The last one has a very good wallpa. Do you know where I can get it?

hehh I already did it by tags and couldn't find it, I used - spray wall, Spray, graffity wall etc.
Even so thanks.
Well now it only remains for the author to tell you where to find it 😀
Better use the Google image search engine. Click on the camera in the search box. Drag the screenshot from the desktop that you liked and voila.
I have loved the 4, 5, 6, 7. How curious all of them in a row. The Yapa is pretty good, but the desktop that is in Yapa, what does it mean?
Yapa means it's an extra, a little gift
That's right ... a little gift.
It seems that docks and numix circle icons are all the rage. 🙂
I prefer the ones from the Moka project, but Numix is more complete at the moment.

Very nice! I still have to learn the basics before I start to "decorate" 😀 greetings artists!
How do I upload my desktop to participate this month?
Sharing your captures (and a description of them) on our social networks (G +, Facebook or Diaspora). 🙂
Cheers! Paul.
From what date to what date are they taken ?, since some of them were in the first days of May in G +.
Excellent desks
My option is for 7
Greetings from Chile!!!

By the way, it is not to be picky, but Victor Salmerón's desk is repeated from last month. In the same place and with the same configuration.
Has it been sneaked in when making the post or has it been put on purpose?
A greeting!
Ha! Gee, I missed ... 🙂 Thanks for the warning!
It's still pretty, right?
Hug! Paul.
Of course!! 🙂
I love desktops with OpenBox. For me, the most difficult to modify in that way are!
It's just that I had already seen that background somewhere, it remains in your memory XD
A greeting!
Excellent desks! Between all of them I celebrate the 1st and 2nd.

Thank you! Corrected. 🙂
To my liking, Cristhian Duran's fund is one of the best, I'm going to find him for W7
xD
How can I put the launcher horizontally at the bottom ???
I already found the solution 😛
Could someone tell me how I modify the ubuntu 14.04 taskbar and leave it as the first topic? 😀
openSUSE is my favorite distro !!! 🙂 hold on openSUSE !!! l..l
