Here is a truly elegant theme for our Desktop Gnome o Xfce, which is available in 2 variants, one with light colors and of course, the other with dark colors.
The theme is compatible with gtk3, but, for them we must have Unico installed, the gtk-engine which comes by default in Ubuntu. For gtk 2 we just have to have installed pixbuf y Murrine:
$ sudo apt-get install gtk2-engines-murrine gtk2-engines-pixbuf
We can download it from this link.
It seems that MGSE does not accept it. Too bad, it looks very pretty and elegant. Although I love Mint-Z and have no complaints about it, it is always good to keep changing and testing.
Ernest if he accepts it, once you made the changes from advanced settings, he will log out and log back in and that's it.
Very nice theme.
Greetings.
Although it is off topic, I have not seen anything in Spanish pages about the news of micro $ oft to switch to the XMPP protocol for Messenger. That interests us who use Linux but have Hotmail accounts.
Sorry for the off topic.
WTF ???
Yes Courage, there are many users who use Linux and also Hotmail.
Because before they used Windows, or simply because many of their friends use Hotmail, and they need an MSN or WLM account to chat with these friends 😉
I still use hotmail ... But once a millennium with the MSN ... xD
By the way, does Elav already have hair? xD
There is always the option to change clients
I do not use hotmail, I use live LOL but it is true, although we can change clients (I have yahoo, skype and gmail apart) not all our contacts use them, and much less will they want to change clients for us: / although facesbook and twitter is taking away much of the field from message clients, they are still useful for those who do not have or do not want accounts in these social networks ~
Courage, you don't even use Linux anymore, so don't freak out. hehe
regards
I hope this using Hasefroch doesn't last long.
I like it, will there be for KDE?
it looks very nice, as i do to install it thema in xubuntu
All gtk themes (in both Gnome and Xfce) must be in the ".themes" folder of your home directory.
In the case of this theme, once you download it, you must extract (or "unzip") the content of the .zip There are the files of the two variants of the theme compressed (in tar.gz),
Check if the theme or window manager of your device allows you to import or install those two files (I haven't used Xfce for a long time and I don't remember).
If you can't, then you should "unzip" them. The two extracted folders (Booerang and BoomerangDeux) are transferred to the ".themes" folder in your user directory.
Then you just have to choose the theme from the theme or window manager.

In about 5 days Unico may go down to testing 😀
