Brief: RSS Reader for Mozilla Firefox

En Desdelinux I have published several articles on readers of RSS and is that in GNU / Linux we have several alternatives for this type of application.

If I like something about Opera, is that it has integrated many functionalities that make it ideal for multiple use, and one of them is an RSS reader integrated into the browser itself. Chromium y Firefox for their part, they need extensions to expand this function and Brief (for FF) it is one of the best.

With this Extension We can add the news sources from the browser itself or by importing a file .opml. Its interface is simple, clean and very beautiful (resembles the old Google Reader) and it has many configuration options. The advantage of Brief against liferea, Blam o Newsbeuter is that we do not have to close the browser to enjoy the latest news.

We can download it from this link.

Note: If anyone has any similar for Chromium and you can send it to me, I will be eternally grateful.

Brief is too basic. A really complete feed reader in Firefox is NewsFox: https://addons.mozilla.org/es-es/firefox/addon/newsfox/

The possibilities of customization, ordering, adding / removing, creating groups, tags, importing / exporting, etc ... is far superior to any other integrated RSS reader. What's more, it even outperforms independent RSS readers.
One of the features, among the many that it has, that I find very useful is that you can define whether you want to read the feed as is or to present the entire web page (executing, or not, the js).
But I think the best thing is to try it and that each one draws their own conclusions.
