I am pleased to announce that thanks to Donations made by some members of our Community, we have reached the required figure to pay for the services of FromLinux, and not only did we reach it, but we have surpassed it by far, so now we can retire to the Caribbean ... oh no wait, I already live in the Caribbean. 🙂
Joking apart. As you already know, DesdeLinux has remained active since its inception thanks to the selfless help of its Community, and it is something that we not only want to thank, but it fills us with emotion, because we never thought that this project would get to where it is today, much less, that he had so many great people around him.

Special thanks
Well, we want to thank all those people who helped us, not only financially, but with their ideas and the dissemination of our request for help. But as they say out there: Honor to whom honor is due. And that is why we are going to name the people who provided their monetary contribution so far.
We will not say the amount (or crazy), because any help, no matter how little it may seem, is well received no matter how much it is, so I will only mention them in alphabetical order:
- Carlos F Alonso
- Carlos G. Cortez
- Edder E. Perez
- William Garrido
- Gustavo Grimoldi
- JA Diaz Fernandez
- Jose M. Del Rio
- Julio Sanchez
- Luis Reyes
- Manual of the Source
- Raphael Castro
On the budget.
I quote myself in my previous article: Some asked about how much money we really needed. Well, I will explain to you how the FromLinux money is currently used. To do this, and before detailing the services, I invite you to see the prices of our provider: GNUTransfer.
We are currently using the plans:
- xen 2048 ($ 29.92 / Month, $ 354.04 / Year, or a total of $ 300 thanks to the annual discount.)
- xen 3072 ($ 44.95 / Month, $ 539.28 / Year, or a total of $ 450 thanks to the annual discount.)
Well, the figure reached so far can be seen on the blog's sidebar and as people continue to send their donations, it will be updated.
What comes next?
Well, for now, make the corresponding payments next month and depending on the surplus, we will see if we invest it in other projects on which We have been arguing with some members of The Community.
I can only thank everyone once more. We will have DesdeLinux at least for another year thanks to you .. 😉

Congratulations!
I like the new design of the page, it's cool
I like that you like it! 😀
I like that you like that he likes your good taste for the subject (?) XD
What is impressive is the speed .. pjax? 🙂
Fast loading? I ask why I have not compressed the files yet 😀
Yes, it is at another level, much higher than the average site, and I say this because from here you know when a site is fast.
Then if you have a chance elav I would be interested in reading the story of what you have done to put it that fast. Wordpress plugins or optimizations in nginx. Slds.
I remember having seen it before, but they took it out almost immediately after implementing it and I was waiting for it.
I find the theme good, it is between flat and sober 😉
Congratulations and how good the new blog topic is 😀
Great, congratulations.
Congratulations. Hopefully for the next campaign, they will raffle some tickets for a week through Havana and thus be able to live with you. in the Palace of Computing with GUTL and other members of the Cuban geek community (accompanied by a cuba libre, Clear). [#OK no].
And by the way, good makeover of the site.
WTF? With the money that you have to save so that you can come to Cuba, we better spend it on going to Hawaii or what do I know, to Disney World hahahaha.
#LOL
Well, I was just saying, why do videoconferences with you? it's practically impossible, so it would be great if at least someone from the site's editors went to Cuba and interviewed you (: v).
Congratulations, I have followed you since you started and I hope you continue like this :)
Congratulations !!, by the way, I like the new design 🙂
Well, at least, I'll stick with this phrase:
Too bad I don't have the money to go to the Caribbean.
Man that with the heat it is doing, you are not missing anything. 😛
Now I can sleep easy. Mission accomplished!
Greetings.
