Changes to Blogger and Picasa

As part of a whole strategy that seeks the integración of the different products of Google with the new social network that the company has presented, Google+, we found changes from the new presentation of the search engine home page, to the new Gmail themes. Blogger y Picasa they are added to the list of products that will undergo a transformation.

Blogger and Picasa: the changes

The products Blogger y Picasa would be renamed under the names of Google Blogs y Google Photos respectively, to continue with the work of unifying the Google brand in all its products, in order to maximize the potential of the new social network launched by this company: Google+. 

Picasa also has integration with Google+Since the photo albums that users upload to Picasa will also be available through their profile on this network, and vice versa. However, until today, from Google+ you can only create and delete albums; add and remove photos from them, and edit the permissions to access them. In case you want to rename an album, or rearrange the order of the photos, it is necessary to enter the website of Picasa.

Draft blogger

It is the new interface of Blogger, available to users from the following address: http://draft.blogger.com/, with a completely new, more modern and minimalist design. It has been working on it for several months and its design is on the same path as that taken by other products such as Gmail and Google+.

Features

• This new presentation uses Ajax, so the pages load faster, as well as the post editor, but they still have to work on problems regarding slow searches or the appearance of comments on the posts.
• The post editor takes up the majority of the page, so there is more space to see how the post is going, and the settings are in a sidebar (which is much better than the small space you had before, especially if you write from a machine with a small screen, such as a netbook).
• The interface now counts the number of visits the entry has received.
• There is greater visualization of the tags to use in the post, and of the tags used previously.
