Webupd8 informs us that Cinnamon (the Gnome Shell fork made by Linux Mint) is now available for easy installation via PPA.
Additionally, the PPA includes a graphical tool for configuring Cinnamon, allowing you to enable/disable the option to automatically hide the panel, configure options for the panel clock, enable/disable icon view with HotCorner , and enable/disable themes and extensions. Furthermore, Andrew mentions that if you're using the version hosted on Git , you can move the bottom panel to the top.
To install Cinnamon on Ubuntu 11.10 , enter the following in a terminal:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install cinnamon cinnamon-session cinnamon-settings
[/ Code]
