An article with the same title has been published on the KDE Blog, inviting all interested parties to participate in a contest to create the next wallpaper for KDE 4.8.
The bases are simple:
- The wallpaper must be sent with the subject «wallpaper2011" at [email protected].
- The license must be LGPL.
- Minimum size 1920 × 1200, it will have special consideration if the designer creates other sizes.
- Photographs are accepted.
- Must have a defining element that can be used in branding KDE (very important).
The jury, composed of Nuno Pinheiro , Lydia Pintscher , and Ingo Malchow , has until December 4th of this year to submit its findings. The prize represents recognition from the entire community, and seeing one's creation featured in the next KDE release must be incredibly rewarding.
