Great icons for the Pidgin tray

Not long ago I told you about some icons for the KDE tray, icons that seem quite successful because they combine with the theme and range of colors that KDE brings by default.

Well, it happens that for a few days I've been using PidginBecause Kopete it does not allow me to configure it with proxy as I should, and well I chose Pidgin : )
The problem is that all my tray It was cool, except for the PidginWell, he used his own icons, and it didn't look good at all 🙁

The solution I found was quite simple, I made some icons for the tray specifically for Pidgin, icons that should match or combine with these others that I already had, here are the icons that I made:

To put these icons is very simple ... here are the steps:

1. Open a terminal, in it write the following and press [enter]:
cd /usr/share/pixmaps/pidgin/tray/ && sudo mv hicolor/ hicolor_BACKUP && sudo wget http://desdelinux.net/ftp/hicolor.tar.gz && sudo tar -xzvf hicolor.tar.gz

This will ask for your password, put it and voila, nothing more 😀

Close Pidgin, they open it again and they will have the new icons ... now we do, now we have the tray (system tray) matching HAHA.

I leave you how my tray looks:

Greetings and any problem that may arise, let me know.

By the way, I have not been able to install the other tray icons in KDE, the ones you published before ... Do you have the original sources and that to see if I install them in another way? That I really liked.

The other, do you get all your themes from KDE-look? or do you have more fonts, designers or something out there?

      Copy the folder «icons» that is downloaded to ~ / .kde4 / share / apps / desktoptheme / default / and towards ~ / .kde4 / share / apps / desktoptheme / internal-system-colors /
You leave the session and come back in, it should work for you 😀

Ah yes the folder ~ / .kde4 then there is no proof with ~ / .kde 😉

Ah I forgot, nope ... the icons and that I take them directly from KDE-Look haha, although I have hardly had time these days to review the new 🙁

The icons on my tray are, as we say in Mexico… chili, mole and pozole xDDD the only one that integrates well with me is just that of pidgin, with the Ubuntu ambiance form… and the download manager. Network Manager decided not to connect my PC via Wi-Fi and sent me to hell, I had to install WICD and because the little icon of it is ugly, Rhythmbox when it plays music shows the Faenza icon (I prefer Rhythm than Banshee) and ...

Well, a Martian mix xD thanks for the pidgin tip! the great thing would be to be able to change all to a single style in my case: U

Well, to change the whole problem is that you use Ubuntu (Gnome), and I don't use that, so I can't test and help you 🙁

But it is not that complicated, you should only what icons each application uses, and change them like that 😀
