Cumulonimbus: A simple and beautiful application for podcast

More than one of our readers listens podcast daily, it is no wonder, it is the perfect complement to a good reading, personally I listen to podcast to inform myself in a specialized way about a topic, then I complement that information with articles scattered on the web and with books related to the area (but there are podcasts for all tastes, many of them away from topics technological). Now, the best addition to a good podcast is an excellent application to manage and listen to them, that's what it is. cumulonimbusa podcast app, simple, beautiful and efficient.

What is Cumulonimbus?

cumulonimbus is an open source, multiplatform tool, developed using electron technology, which allows us to listen and manage podcast from a very friendly, beautiful interface and with functionalities that enrich productivity when searching and selecting the podcasts of our choice.

Cumulonimbus has a very clean and fast interface with enviable usability, which is noticeable as soon as you open the application, as it has an options menu on the left and an excellent podcast player that is displayed on the right.

Cumulonimbus also has an excellent podcast search utility where we can find the ones we like the most, the application reads directly from the Itunes directory so we will generally have at hand all the podcasts that exist. In the same way, with this utility we can add the podcaster that we do not like the most and listen to it whenever we want, the application lists all the chapters issued and gives us a detailed description of each one.

Another of the qualities of Cumulonimbus is the possibility of importing or exporting podcasts (.opml) in a quick and easy way, we can also give our personalized touch to each podcast by adding our own cover.

How to install Cumulonimbus?

To start enjoying this podcast application we simply have to go to the tool releases that are here., and install the installer intended for your distro, a .deb package is distributed, AppImage that works on any distro, or you can simply do the installation from the stable source code.

Is Cumulonimbus worth it?

Well, of course it is worth it, it is a simple, beautiful and efficient tool, it does what it should do and is play podcast, but it also has other features that allow it to be an advanced podcast management tool, its search engine is excellent, it is totally free and it is still under development (that is, new features are still missing).

I am already using it as my default Podcast player, replacing my beloved Rhythmbox for the moment, hopefully the new features will soon be there and it will become a tough one in its area.

I take this opportunity to invite you to subscribe to the Juan Febles podcast (Linux Podcast), which is undoubtedly a great podcast in Spanish about free software and especially Linux.
