Xfce Theme Manager is an excellent application that will allow us to configure our XFCE in a simple way due to the fact that it brings together all the customization options for this Desktop Environment in one place.
After customizing it to our liking, we can even save our preferences, among other options.
Installation in Xubuntu can be done by following the steps below:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa: rebuntu16 / other-stuff sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install xfce-theme-manager
However, if we are using any other distribution, what I recommend is downloading the binaries:
In the file are the necessary files for 32 and 64 bits, we only have to unzip it, access the folder corresponding to our architecture and in a terminal put:
chmod + x install.sh ./install.sh

Xfce is getting better and better, and when it is ported to GTK3 I won't even tell you, you will come back to it with your tail between your legs like a scared dog. @elav
I doubt it .. sorry to say but with KDE I have all my needs covered. I only return to Xfce if my conditions force me to.
I went from KDE to XFCE because KDE does not satisfy my needs, which XFCE with GTK applications (which I did not find in qt) makes it perfect 😀
Ditto!
I don't know if XFCE is going to go entirely to GTK3 in the end, it would cause a lot of problems with the applications due to its update rate. Maybe XFCE will jump straight to GTK4 when Gnome 4 comes out next year.
Thanks a lot! 🙂
wow man… they are the most horrible songs that I have ever seen. Haha xd
Hahaha, but they are not my themes .. I took them from the project page. I think the goal is: See how much ugly Xfce can be customized.
The truth is that yes, those topics are to cry, but the application seems to be good.
I'd rather download the ambiance or radiance theme for XFCE than install those themes from the Plus package! Windows 98.
LOL! It is true. But hey, the developer of his themes must be happy to have contributed something to the community. Someone must like it.
We are going to test the repo on Debian.
Thanks for the note !!!!!!
Excellent, my XFCE is getting better and better.
I'm honestly going to continue with Appearance and Window Manager, although it is a nice application.
It suits me perfectly, and I just joined XFCE. Touching on the subject, will someone know a solution so that the GTK2 themes work with the programs made in GTK3 like Transmission Bittorrent?
Well it depends on what theme you are using, there are some that are not up to date with the latest versions of GTK so (I suppose) you would have to modify the theme by hand.
Uhhm, that is very complicated for me .. I guess we have to wait for better GTK3 themes for XFCE to come out of my liking ..
wow. I would download it if it weren't for one thing: I'm not interested in XFCE
With what Xfce brings by default is enough for me, but it may be useful to someone.
I also use a lot of gtk-theme-config to change the panel and app colors.
Yes, but I must admit that it has surpassed GNOME 3 in functionality and efficiency. If Debian 7 updates GNOME 3.4 to 3.6 then I will move to XFCE even if I have to remove the dock.
I agree with you, with Xfce I can do what I did with GNOME without consuming so many resources (which is perfect for me because my PC is not very new, let's say) and with good eyecandy.
What dock do you mean?
Another one who joined xfce a long time ago, I'll write it down in case I mess with the theme 🙂
Excellent! Thanks a lot!
Let's try to see how. Thank you.
good information
How to remove it because the packages are gone
the download link no longer works 🙁
I just installed it, it seems fantastic to me, thank you
