Thanks for sharing this guide, can it be completed with an update to Gnome 3 for Debian Squeeze? Well, my experience at this point is not so pleasant.

    Regards!

elav could take care of this, actually… I think he was doing this guide already.
By the way, your blog has quite interesting content (all Cubans are interested in the topic of modems in Linux), a pity that you have not continued publishing.

      Well, welcome to the site.
      regards

PS: When you say that your experience at this point (Debian + Gnome3) has not been pleasant, what exactly do you mean?

Thank you! for the feedback 🙂 and the WinModems issue is really interesting. We know the reasons for continuing to publish 😀 and access to blogspot but I will return to it soon!

When I refer to my experience with Debian + Gnome3, it is that I run into the classic dependency problems, a corrupt system because it is not updated correctly and other headaches 😀

Well greetings and keep it up ...

I don't think it is possible to have Gnome 3 on Debian from repositories. Maybe compiling it, but I'm not sure.

Long ago I wanted to try Debian on a low-resource PC that I have lying around, now with this guide and the 3 posts That a tree does not prevent us from seeing the forest! Setting up Debian I think it will be easier for me 😀

    Thanks for the guide elav
    regards

Simply thanks. My goal is to one day abandon Xubuntu and marry Debian forever (although with Xubuntu throughout this awkward period of learning and adaptation, see what has happened to me and it still resists!)

    I said, thank you!
