DolphinEmu A friend recommended it to me, and I said to myself: What if I install it to play Mario Kart? So I did it. The package will be found in Yaourt.
The command to search for it is:
yaourt -Ss dolphin-emu
Then we install it and what Yogurt do your magic:
yaourt -S dolphin-emu
you have to wait for it to download all the necessary dependencies for Dolphin-emu to work
and voila, we have it installed
now to download rom from Game Cube I leave this page:
Unfortunately for Wii I could not find (a lie I was lazy to search). Once downloaded a rom in my case the Mario Kart, we look for the file
and well automatically starts the game
I have it, but the games are slow, a shame.
You have to have a good XD pc and a very good graphics, but above all a x4 type cpu
On Wii I doubt that I can run games with a GT430, but on Gamecube if xD
In fact, some wii games run better than those of gamecube. For example, the mario kart.
Video card requires very little, with the GT430 there is plenty for wii games.
The processor is the one that counts, and it does not have to be of many cores, the emulation is not multithread or multithreaded in Spanish. So a 3.6hz dual-core processor will perform much better than a 2.5ghz 8-core processor.
The Ghz do not matter little xD, try to use pentium IV at 4 ghz xddd ..., here what matters is the ipc of each core, and it is where intel sweeps amd, a core of an i5, it is much more powerful than that of a amd x4
Well, here I give you the reason, I need to say that the fair comparison is between two processors of the same generation and even family.
What I was going for is that an i7 with less GHz, in almost any application beats an i5, although the latter has more GHz, but in emulation things change.
* offtopic, I don't remember if the P IVs supported SSE2, which is necessary to emulate with dolphin.
on core i3 laptop with 3Gb ram and Intel graphics it is going great 🙂
Very good emulator, I have it on my sister's PC for some Smash games 🙂
Well on my laptop (kubuntu) I am doing great, I have played mariokart, resident evil remake 0 and 1, also mario striker, super smash and a good list of the game cube.
Does anyone know what the minimum hardware requirements are for GameCube games?
I love this emulator, I installed it in opensuse from the 1 click install and it works great.
I would recommend using a controller for games like Mario sunshine, metroid or zelda.
For Mario kart or smash I think that the keyboard is enough since too many buttons are not used.
The wii games that I have tried are those that have compatibility with the gamecube controller (I can't use the wii controller well with the mouse) eg Resident evil 4 and Mario kart wii.
With an i3 3220 4gb ddr3 and the hdgraphics 2500 I could play dragon ball z budokai tenkaichi 3 perfect
Good data, I'm going to try it, a while ago I tried with the Dreamcast without much success.
Thanks Elav.
I have tested it on an Intel Core i7, Asus Nvidia GTX660 Ti Graphics, governed by Arch and… it is luxurious! I have tried several Wii games (by the way, you can download them by torrent from http://www.gamestorrents.com/ )
Very good contribution, Thank you
It keeps running very slow, I have tried the RE Zero, RE Remake and Zelda Twilight Princess (All Nintendo Gamecube).
but the New Super Mario (Wii) runs fine, the bad thing is that I can't finish it because it always stays stuck in a world level 3.
2 GB of RAM
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2 Ghz
Nvidia 310m 512MB
A free emulator to play private games?
No thanks
Nor that there were free wii games that are worth it.
So why do they have the nerve to promote proprietary games on a free software blog?
That is cynicism.
Because it is not a free software blog, it is a GNU / Linux blog, Genius, therefore, if it is about Linux in general (its freedom or lack thereof does not matter).
BURN!
There are people who are sick with the story of free software, you disgust me.
It shows that you are only GNU / Linux users but you have no idea of freedom.
Keep using your Google, Facebook, Dropbox, Skype, Twitter, they are not free, but they defend it to the death.
They come to tears when a proprietary game is released only for Windows and not for Linux, but they do not support free games like TuxRacer at all, in fact, they look at it in less and do not even contribute to the project. Then they call themselves the "free", "the community", yuck ...
A person who uses GNU / Linux should not play proprietary games, that goes against the principles of free software, it would be fooling himself.
The truth, you are sick, everyone is free to choose
Stallman is you xD
Shut up, geek.
someone could run a wii game by chance, it always opens me and then closes; (????
