Domotiga: home automation (domotics)

domotiga is an open source system, which allows us administer of our Home from our PC in a intelligent applying the concept of domótica. This system supports multiple electronic devices to perform this function.

This the most important characteristics we have:

• Email / tweet sent when an event occurs
• Motion detector (Security)
• Motion detector (Lights)
• Phone call logs
• Barcode Shopping List Manager
• Taking photos when the door is opened or closed

Installation

In Ubuntu, the easiest way to install Domotiga is through the repositories Getdeb.

1.- Install the getdeb package, which will add the corresponding repositories.

2.- Update the system and install Domotiga:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install domotiga

Those who do not have Ubuntu or derivatives, should download the source code and compile it yourself. Here explains how to do it.
