The Debian Administrator's Handbook Despite being available in English, I think it must be one of those books that we should consider as «Recommended Reading» for its rich content.
The book, written by Raphael Hertzog (known user in The Debian Community) y Roland More, it is printed on paper and available for sale, but it also has other versions that we can get for free (eBook, PDF ..). In its index we can find very interesting and varied topics, which teach us among other things:
- Security Issues.
- Network Services.
- Unix services.
- Solve problems and search for relevant information.
- Package Systems.
- Create packages in Debian.
- Work environments.
In short, 475 pages of valuable information. You can download it from the following link:
Ugh, lesbian !!
@elav <° Linux: good post 😉
will soon be available in Spanish according to this , anyway thanks
Go very interesting.
Too bad it's only in English, although it doesn't matter by the way I can also learn English and GNU / Linux and kill two birds with one stone. xD
Thanks for sharing the book. ; D
A good read at home after a rainy afternoon with a cup of latte in hand is always a good thing. What else to say that this book is one that deals with the father of many distros in the world. Have a good afternoon, read 🙂
Soon they will release the Spanish version according to this
Downloading and it will serve me since I am learning English.
Nothing better than a good book to learn.
cool.
Well enter the page one way to help is to leave it in the bittorrent and leave sharing for a while so I'll do that so I help them with the bandwidth (although my upload is not much) but worse is nothing 😉
It's a pity that my monitor doesn't really like reading PDF's, I'll have to look for it in print
Thank you!
How have we been able to live without this until now?
I have read that the translation into Spanish is being prepared. What do you know about that?
You find out that it comes out, please remember the ones that cost us the most in the language of perfidious Albion.
It is also in the sid repositories:
aptitude install debian-handbook
or you install it (in wheezy or squeeze) with dpkg -i downloading the .deb from the official repository:
http://packages.debian.org/sid/debian-handbook
