Easy peasy is the name of the distribution formerly known as "Ubuntu Eee". It is a GNU / Linux distribution based on Ubuntu Netbook Remix with a very simple interface and optimized for netbooks. |
Regarding main characteristics:
- New starting system and renewed graphic motifs.
- 1.6 RC has removed the HAL package, which makes it boot up faster and “wake up” from suspended state faster as well.
- New interface.
- Integration with Twitter, identi.ca, Facebook and other social networks with MeMenu in the panel.
- Support for Active Directory Authentication.
- NVIDIA graphics support via open source driver.
- Update all packages.
You can download the Easy Peasy 1.6 RC ISO from this link.
Since netbooks don't have a CD/DVD drive, you need to transfer the ISO image to a USB drive to boot from it. For this, you can use Unetbootin , which works on both Linux and Windows.
