Endless OS: launched a new version for users who do not have a good connection to the network

Endless OS is a GNU / Linux distribution that has come from California to present itself as the operating system that aims to break the digital divide that exists between poor users and the richest, since not all have the same resources and equipment in their places of work or at home. A project that has been developed with these good social objectives and that began as a project related to Endless Computers, with quite cheap prices of below € 100 and that aimed to conquer the less affluent areas ...

Well, now the new version of the Endless OS distro has arrived with important improvements to better take advantage of the network connections that are not as fast like the ones we all fortunately enjoy. By optimizing this resource, users of this new version will be able to be more efficient and productive when they work online, taking advantage of what they have. And all this without forgetting the previous fundamentals for which this distro was developed, that is, to be light and agile enough to run on hardware that is not too powerful.

In short, Endless OS is being like the system of those people who access a powerful computer or a broadband connection is a luxury or a dream. Now its developers have announced the launch of version 3.4. A version with a very attractive design that is designed, like the others above, for the most novice users due to its ease and simplicity. It already comes with most of the apps that you will need pre-installed, for greater comfort, so you will find a very complete system from the beginning.

Among the new features is a more exhaustive control of the connection, for example, to be able to prevent downloads or updates from being made if a certain data limit is exceeded. That's adorned with a GNOME 3.26 environment and a more up-to-date kernel version, and all in a 1.75GB ISO that can be installed on just 14GB of hard drive. For more information or download it, you can consult the project website.

Excellent news, Isaac. I love the philosophy of Endless OS.

I replicated it in a personal Distro called MinerOS GNU / Linux 1.1, which already has everything you need installed for Home, Office and Digital Mining in only 4.5 GB and only requires a minimum of 16 GB of Disk space and also works in live format from DVD / USB. It comes with XFCE / Plasma and only consumes less than 512MB of RAM at startup. And I am currently finishing version 1.1 DGM which is special for Developers, Gamers, and Multimedia Designers at only 7.2 GB and only requires 32 GB minimum of Disk space and it also works in live format (live) from DVD / USB.

In short, Endless OS sets the standard in terms of Distros Type AIO / Offline (All in One / Offline) and low consumption!
