Why? Because NVIDIA, for once (finally!), is contributing some code to the nouveau drivers. In this case, a series of patches to provide initial (though not yet fully functional) support for the Kepler-based GK20A GPU, which will be included in the Tegra K1 chips. These 192-core chips were announced in early January and are aiming to dominate the Android market. From "Fuck You" to "Fuck Yeah" is a big step.
Anyway, kudos to Alexandre Courbot on the patches.
