Game console (GameGadget) using Linux will be released in January-2012

The game console GameGadget will be released in January 2012

The UK gaming company Game Gadget announced its new product, the GameGadget 1.0 handheld game console, which appears to take on the big names in the handheld gaming market.
According to its creators, GameGadget 1.0 has been developed with a new software service called GameGadgetGames, which has been created to give players, publishers and developers flexibility in how to play, sell and create games.

GameGadget has been designed with the primary goal of playing all games on one device, just as the iPod was for music, said Jason Cooper, the creator of GameGadget. Hundreds of thousands of games are currently archived and no longer enjoyed by players, so no value is generated for developers and publishers.

The launch of GameGadget creates a market for gamers to play the games they want to play.

The GameGadgetGames service, like Apple's 'App Store', allows owners of these games to re-market their past catalogs, in their original format, setting the appropriate price and earn increasing income, but without additional investment.

This device based on Linux It will be available priced at £ 99.99 (around $ 160). There is no news yet on the titles it will have, but game developers and publishers are encouraged to register on its website.
The good part about this is that you can create a community of small developers and provide users with a platform where they can share their creations.

The GameGadget 1.0 Handheld Console is scheduled to launch in January 2012.
