In some centers or companies, even on some websites, we can find videos available to watch through our browser, but the difference is that we cannot download them. The protocol is used MMS in these cases, a protocol that is owned by Microsoft but, to be honest ... it works really well.
It happens that as I said, downloading these videos to our computer is complicated, if we use GNU / Linux the applications available in our repos that could be used for this, are somewhat archaic ... they do not have a GUI and they do not give us many options.
Precisely for that reason at a university in my country (ICU) a group of developers solved this problem. They have developed an application (the one I show in the image) that helps us for precisely this, downloading videos that are on our network by MMS: GMultiMMS
This application is made in Python, so it can be used in both 32bits and 64bits. It depends on the bookstore multimms, whose download link I leave below ... next to the application as such:
- MultiMMS dependency download
- GMultiMMS application download (Debian and derivatives)
- GMultiMMS application download (.tar.gz + DEB)
The developers of this software (as well as the library) are: Carlos Cesar Caballero, Manuel E. Gutierrez y Reuben Reynaldo.
Thank you all very much for this contribution 😀

Good !!!!!!!!!!!!, download it right now
Interesting program.
One thing, the link to the program's .deb doesn't work and the tar.gz has the .deb and .tar.gz with the program.
Anyway I am creating the PKGBUILD for Arch linux
I have already uploaded the packages:
multimms: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=56064
gmultimmms: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=56065
Fuck what a mess LOL !!! Right now I fix the links 😀
Done, link fixed ^ - ^ U
The matter looks interesting ... let's try it now.
Thanks a thousand Gaara
Nah at all, I have not been able to test it because in my network right now I have nothing for MMS, but it should work without problems 😀
regards Tina.
