GNOME 3.34 receives its second maintenance update

The development cycle of the GNOME 3.34 graphical environment continues with the arrival of the second update, GNOME 3.33.2, available now for public testing.

GNOME 3.33.2 has been released as the second maintenance update for GNOME 3.34 series, bringing updated components and applications that include new features and improvements that will make GNOME the best desktop experience to date.

Among many things, GNOME 3.33.2 adds big performance improvements to GNOME Shell, a new Wallpapers panel in the Control Center, countless enhancements to the Epiphany web browser and the GNOME calculator, rendering enhancements for Mutter and the X.Org composer, and much more.

GNOME 3.33.3 is coming June 19

The GNOME 3.34 development cycle will continue with a third maintenance update, GNOME 3.33.3, which will be released to the general public on June 19, 2019. Until then, you can download and test GNOME 3.32.2 on your favorite distribution.

To compile GNOME 3.33.2 you must use the official source packages. Please note that being a pre-release version, you should not install it on final production systems. The final GNOME 3.34 release will be available in the second half of the year, specifically on September 11. Meanwhile you can check this page to see all the changes from GNOME 3.33.2.
