Many will know triskele, the GNU / Linux distribution based on Ubuntu and that the Free Software Foundation recognizes as 100% free, it is a distribution intended for small businesses, home users and educational centers. Well today, the development team announced la disponibilidad de las primeras imágenes Alpha para la próxima versión de Trisquel GNU / Linux 8.0, que lleva por nombre «Flidas«.
About Trisquel GNU / Linux 8.0 «Flidas»
Esta nueva versión viene cargada del kernel Linux 4.4 y el entorno de escritorio ligero MATE 1.12.1. MATE comes to displace a custom desktop based on the GNOME 3.12 fallback which was the default desktop until now. The inclusion of MATE provides the user with higher performance, also avoids 3D acceleration and in many cases the use of non-lobble graphics drivers.
The Trisquel Team has made multiple improvements to the Control Center and the file manager, in order to have a fully functional desktop with higher performance. Similarly, these Alphas are expected to achieve the following objectives:
- Update, define and install totally free applications that cover the needs of all its users.
- Review and update the documentation of the applications and the entire distribution.
- Polish and improve the entire desktop environment, especially the GTK theme that still has some peculiarities.
- Repair of known faults in Trisquel 7, such as AT-SPI problems, printer integration and hardware composition.
- Create Live and CLI installers.
- Establish an alternative architecture for building jails.
Where can Trisquel GNU / Linux 8.0 «Flidas be downloaded?

Hello 🙂
I think there is an error in the article. Abrowser is Firefox without some things that did not make it free at all (the icon for example), not a desktop based on the fallback of GNOME 3.12
regards
Thank you very much editing error, it is already corrected
