Goodbye to GetDeb and PlayDeb ... at least for now

GetDeb and PlayDeb grew to the point where it is impossible to maintain, according to its creator Swetna Gogineni, who has announced through Google+ that after all these years, GetDeb y Playdeb would discontinued.

Swetna Gogineni has announced that due to a combination of factors ranging from the loss of the database due to a problem with the server to the lack of free time, it will not be possible for her to continue with the noble, tedious and little recognized task of maintaining these repositories.

For those who do not know them, these were unofficial repositories for Ubuntu, which we have talked about in other opportunities, and that they included more updated versions of very popular applications and games.

It is a pity that a project with good potential is discontinued, although that software never gave me good results, I could never install absolutely nothing xD
