Google Chrome OS 76: improves multi-account support for Chromebooks

Chrome OS 76

Google has released its Chrome OS 76 operating system. As you know, it is not a GNU / Linux distribution, although it is based on the Linux kernel. This system is specific for Chromebook computers and is quite appreciated for its stability, robustness and security. We have already talked about Chrome OS on several occasions, and this time we will focus on seeing the news that this new release brings.

Among its new functions and improvements is being based on the Google's new Chrome 76 web browser. Additionally, a new unified account manager is now included. This new manager allows you to use multiple Google accounts on your Chromebook laptops to be able to use it yourself or share it with other people who use the same device in a much more comfortable and simple way.

You can manage account permissions from the account settings, giving access and appropriate permissions for the different registered users, apps, add-ons, websites, for the Google Play app store, etc. In addition to the accounts and the new base, it has a new media control to unify the audio controls and make it easier to control the sound of all apps and websites. This new control is available from the main menu of the system.

Another of the changes introduced is a new setting for accessibility called «Automatic Clicks» or automatic clicks that will help users with mobility problems or other problems to access certain items on their Chromebook via touchpad, mouse, joystick, or other controls. This feature will right-click, left-click, or double-click automatically. So now you can enjoy this new update of your favorite operating system and check the changes for yourself, remember that the new version will be automatically downloaded and installed on your Chromebook.
