But this It does not mean that Google finally says goodbye to Qualcomm, since it was announced that will continue to work closely In current and future products based on its Snapdragon platform, what if it happens is that it is no longer a leading provider of chips for Google's Android phones.

The latter ends the era of Pixels equipped with Snapdragon processors, which will now be replaced by Tensor. Google's move follows Apple's, which now uses its own processors in its new computers instead of Intel chips. And like Apple, Google also uses an Arm-based architecture.

Regarding the name "Tensor" that has been given to the processor, this is a nod to the name of Google's TensorFlow processing unit, which has promoted several of his projects. According to a company blog post, Tensor includes a dedicated processor that runs artificial intelligence applications (TO THE), plus a central processor, a graphics processor and a signal processor.
