LinuxFoundation with serious security flaw (Linux.com hacked)

Not long ago we found out that they had managed to access the Kernel.org servers, as well as that Linus Torvalds would put a copy of the Linux kernel on GitHub, now we have another great (and painful) news. It happens that they have also breached the security of the Linux Foundation (Linux.com).

As advertised in the Slashdot.org postApparently user + password combinations as well as SSH keys may have been compromised. The measure at the moment is to reinstall all the servers Linux.comAs well as they are working with authorities in the US and Europe to help them with the investigation, in this way they will be able to know the origin of the attack.

Obviously, this security flaw is linked to the previous attack on Kernel.org, Although all the details of these attacks are still not known with absolute certainty, I think I speak for the majority when I say: «you have to have quite little shame and zero sense of justice to hack these sites / servers» ¬_¬

Now, I only wish that the security of GNU / Linux as such is not further questioned, because once again the flamewars between Windows and Linux users would begin.

Also (since we are making wishes…), I would like you to Anonymous find out who is the author of these attacks, so that later they make them pay in such a way that their attacks on Sony and other companies seem simple children's games ...

Greetings and another bad day for GNU / Linux users.

I don't know why they give data about the servers. Of course, those of us who know are going to spread the authorities with pasta so that nothing happens to them.

    What Don Dinero does ...

I don't know if you mean Microsoft or Canonical o_0U
Anyway, this is getting out of hand now… one thing is hacking Sony, Nintendo, CIA, NBC, but another VERY different thing is hacking Kernel.org and Linux.com ggrrrr…. ¬_¬

No, no, at M $, from Canonical I wouldn't believe it because they would attack themselves.

They will be hackings the same ... They are just as illegal, but what do you expect from M $

Nah I don't think so, I don't know ... I would be hard-pressed to believe that Microsoft is behind these attacks, although, if these days they make statements criticizing the security of GNU / Linux, there they certainly would have something to do with it.

Hackers are supposed to be guys with a sense of justice, for example what Sony did to the boy who hacked PS3 was wrong, very wrong, that's why Anonymous took action and tore Sony apart, I see that well, but… hack Free Software / Open Source project servers? ... come on, this is already too much ...

It is not difficult for me to believe anything that comes from those people. You have seen "somewhat dirty" campaigns against OpenSource projects before. Getting paid to hack anything that takes away the credibility of GNU / Linux would not surprise me.

This is the last straw and under what OS were the servers running? do not tell me they were under windows because I would shit with laughter. Hell, this is very rare. I know people who are obsessed with security and shield their PCs like bunkers and in many cases they have nothing of value either computer and / or commercial.

Go that little mother of the / those in charge of security of the Linux Foundation, this is more a moral blow than anything else. hahahaha I can see the windowsero lammers telling me that the security of the gnu / linux systems is useless if they could hack the kernel web. It is that they even make it difficult for one to try to convert non-believers.

It is not under what servers the Linux Foundation is. I believe that in this case the error was human. You can have good servers in Linux or Windows, that if they are not protected as they should be, then it is useless. But the problem here is that the way they used to enter has nothing to do with servers, but apparently they used the user accounts on those servers. Anyway..
