Hotot renews its interface a bit

Some time ago I told you about hotot, desktop client for Twitter, Identi.ca y status.net and as well I commented to them in that article, it's a cool app.

Today I have decided to give it a new try and I am pleasantly surprised that its interface has changed a bit, rather the icon artwork. In addition, it feels more fluid and faster, it allows us to save drafts and insert smiles. So you can see what I'm talking about, previously this was hotot:

And now we find something like this:

hotot It is found in the repositories of most of the distributions, so its installation is very simple. In Debian Testing, because we only have to type in the terminal:

$ sudo aptitude install hotot

So I'll give a vacation to Turpial, at least until its new version comes out 😀

    @elav you don't have the link to the source code, since I have Ubuntu 10.10 and I don't think the new version is in the repo.

      Try to go to our ISP mirror and download the .deb for Debian Testing. Look for version 1: 0.9.7.32 + git20111213.1d89daf-1 which, incidentally, is not the latest version, because on the Hotot website there is 0.9.9

    Hmm, I never got to test Hotot while on KDE ... maybe I'll try it next time, it looks pretty cool ...

      In fact, Hotot is GTK and not Qt, that is why I have not tested it objectively, because simply because it is GTK it will not be able to replace my Choqok

    The aesthetic change is interesting, I think I will try it again.
