How to group similar entries in Google Reader

Did you subscribe to hundreds of newspapers y Blogs and your client RSS no longer enough? Well, in case you use Google Reader, there are add-ons for Firefox and Google Chrome that allow unifying the repeated entries or similar. How many times has it happened to us that the same news appears listed more than once due to the number of feeds to which we have subscribed?

Deduplicator: extension for Google Chrome

Deduplicator analyzes the titles of the entries and groups them based on a "grouping threshold" that determines the "strength" with which it will perform this task. This threshold can be adjusted from the "Grouping Threshold" button, which appears at the top of Google Reader.

Firefox: Greasemonkey + script

In Firefox, things are a bit more complicated. First of all, you have to install the Greasemonkey extension, which allows you to run scripts on the pages we see with the browser and thus customize them to your liking. Finally, you have to download the special script to filter duplicates in Google Reader.

Give them a try and comment if they are helpful to you. Don't forget to subscribe to RSS feeds from the blog.
