Install

You can download it and install it "manually" or add a PPA and install it from there.

I opened a terminal and wrote:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa: c-korn / vlc
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install vlc mozilla-plugin-vlc

If you have previously installed it, replace the third line with this other:

sudo apt-get upgrade

Note: this version of PPA does not include support for VAAPI (GPU decoding)
