How to share your Android's 3G connection with your PC

El tethering is a process by which a mobile device with an Internet connection acts as a gateway, to offer wireless access to the network to other devices ", in short it means that you can use tu mobile internet phone for get internet access from your PC, laptop, tablet, etc.

This trick can be very useful in extreme cases and, in particular, to compensate for the lack of 3g in tablets that do not support it. In that case, you just have to "connect" it with the mobile phone and use the 3g connection of the latter.

That way, you can have internet on the tablet, even if it doesn't support 3g. Sure, you always have to have your mobile close by ... but who doesn't have it these days?

It seems like too many steps to me. With the HTC Desire connected to my Fedora 16 laptop via the USB cable, I do that with two screen taps, and Fedora takes it as a wired connection. It may depend on the smartphone used.

    regards
