humanOS: Available to the world

Many times in our blog we have mentioned (and even published his articles) to humans, the blog of the Free Software Community of the University of Computer Sciences of Cuba (aka UCI).

humans

Well, today I am pleased to announce that since yesterday, they announced their availability for the rest of the world, that is, it can already be seen beyond the Cuban intranet.

I can only congratulate the boys of humans, because they deserve that their content is available to everyone.

They can access it from http://humanos.uci.cu

I don't know how you can use this linux system, it's very tacky, fourth, there are so many versions and no improvement at all, they keep changing or inventing desktops, solutions for users? well thanks we owe it. It only works for servers for its stability (as long as it is debian). the tools for users are varied but none are 100% useful. Windows is not the best, it is soft spy, etc, etc everything you want, but there are so many applications and all useful. Linux in any of its tastes or versions or distros, is very tedious for a user. Anyway, I will take a look at linux in 10 years to see if they can make a distro for users accordingly. In the meantime, let the US security service keep spying on me. Keep arguing uselessly. Linux nothing revolutionary. So much noise and little nuts. Above all, the few who dig a little deeper into Linux, already feel experts. Make a Linux based distro ?? for what?? to show that you read and know something more than the rest about linux hahahahahahahahaha

Man, the trolling section is in 4chan, Fayerwayer, jaidefinichon, plp.cl and other sites to trolling. In addition, they all use GNU / Linux, Andoid uses the Linux kernel, the TOP500 puts it at the top of the podium of server OS of any kind, Wall Street uses Red Hat Enterprise Linux and even the VPS in which this blog operates use GNU / Linux.

We already know that the world of GNULinux is quite tacky, but there are always distros like eOS that can make your life easier without having to reach for the console.

      1.    edgar.kchaz said

        (* w *) eOS… Really… +1.

Modesty aside, I feel in a position to argue with any advanced Windows user, as I have used it thoroughly for several years, however, can you argue with an advanced Linux user? ^ _ ^

To say that Linux does not innovate, as well as everything else you mention, is to show a HUGE ignorance on the subject: https://blog.desdelinux.net/quien-usa-gnulinux/

      1.    cup said

LINUX DOES NOT INNOVATE, (only on desktops) I am NOT an expert user in windows or linux, I am a USER, and in linux I do not have the facilities or comforts that if I find in windows. I'm not married to either of them, I just want to be able to do everything, without having to complicate myself as I did in linux and in the end I had to go back to guindous. I congratulate you if you are an expert in linux, and as I see that you know, please, give me a list of applications to convert videos in different formats, give me a download manager like JDownlaoder (I could never install it well in any linux distro) and don't get me freerapid (it doesn't recognize jdownlaoder's DLC) give me a free CAD that resembles AUTOCAD, (and don't get me the B .. it's pretty sketchy and bad) give me a video converter like Convertxtodvd (and don't tell me DEVEDE and some of the others) that are quite limited, and let's not talk about configuring a network, no distro installs input samba, to top it off when you install it, you have to use the command line to set it up (in windows it is much easier ), as you will see, everything in Linux is very elaborate, the pros are: I forget about viruses (for now), I don't have to defragment, and stability (if it's debian) 🙂 I kept studying to see if you do something better and innovative 🙂

It depends on how you look. I feel so comfortable in Linux that when I use Windows I feel weird.

I'm not married to either of them, I just want to be able to do everything, without having to complicate myself as I did in linux and in the end I had to go back to guindous.

I've been doing everything for 7 years 😉

I congratulate you if you are an expert in linux, and as I see that you know, please, give me a list of applications to convert videos in different formats, give me a download manager like JDownlaoder (I could never install it well in any linux distro) and don't get me freerapid (it doesn't recognize jdownlaoder's DLC) give me a free CAD that resembles AUTOCAD, (and don't get me the B .. it's pretty sketchy and bad) give me a video converter like Convertxtodvd (and don't tell me DEVEDE and some of the others) which are quite limited

To convert videos I am sure there will be an application, or rather, a FrontEnd of what can be done by console as quickly and easily. JDownloader I think we have in Linux, and if we don't have it, there are other very cool tools ... but why? If with Axel, Wget or with DownThemAll some of us are left over. For CAD there are also some applications, but I cannot comment because I have not used them.

And let's not talk about configuring a network, no distro installs input samba, to top it off when you install it, you have to use the command line to set it up (in windows it is much easier),

If Linux has something easy, it is the management of the NETWORK. Samba? So if that is only used in Windows networks. What distro brings it by default? Ubuntu is one of them, Zentyal too.

As you can see, everything in Linux is very far-fetched, the plus points are: I forget about viruses (for now), I don't have to defragment, and stability (if it's debian) 🙂 I kept studying to see if you do something superior and innovative 🙂

That, that and everything depends on the eyes with which you look at it, and who is looking at it.

Besides; Linux is not geared towards "clicks"; just the fact of researching the best of this is based; The fact that you cannot do many things in this system is only because you need to investigate the subject; Just because you don't know how to work with something, you can't say that it doesn't work. Tell me that it is not the best idea for game development, for example, I accept it, it is reality; but outside of this there are people in the world who do everything "normal users" do in Windows.
And I clarify, I am not an expert in Linux, on the contrary, I am learning and it tires me many times, because I am adapted to systems dedicated to "normal users" such as Windows; But that's not why I'm going to give up and start to say if a system works or not. In the end, each system has its advantages and disadvantages, it depends on the needs of who uses it.

There are many more users who leave Windows than those who leave Linux. Windows got its difference in users when graphic environments began to be used since it was backed by a company that invested millions, on the other hand Linux could begin to become powerful as the internet expanded throughout the world ... since users could be trained and help develop it, since it did not have a company that invests $$$$$$. By then the average PC user was very familiar with Windows. But at present, everything that Linux achieves surpasses Windows, large companies that need real security use it, the most used OS in tablets, cell phones, etc. uses the Linux kernel ... the PS4 uses it ... even Windows 8 is far inferior to Linux and IOS.
Android and Linux OS have been dominating in tablets and phones, which are the computer equipment that will be used the most in the future ... Microsoft's main product is already reaching the end of its reign.

      1.    eliotime3000 said

the PS4 uses Orbis OS, which is a fork of FreeBSD. Steam machines will use Steam OS, which will be a GNU / Linux distro.

Well, congratulations to the team of humans, I read your blog a lot when I was in Cuba, your articles are very interesting, well there are 2 (firefoxmania and Humans)
I would miss black hat that is also super interesting its security tutorials, Thanks for the news

    1.    KZKG ^ Gaara said

They changed the name of Black Hat a while ago, they only talk about Windows and strongly criticize Linux 😉

Wow que mala noticia escuchar eso, antes cuando leia black hat no era asi, que mal que se volvieron fanboys, pero bueno no importa con Desdelinux y ahora HumanOS no hace falta pedir mas

With Windows fanboys, I have enough with the comment section of FayerWayer. MuyWindows is vastly more objective than Black Hat despite having almost no commentators.
