ImgLikeOpera: Manage which images Firefox loads

I recently told you about some browsers that we can use in GNU / Linux True? Well, I bring you one of the best Extensions that exist for one of them, in this case Firefox.

La extension called ImgLikeOpera (ILO) and as its name suggests, what it does is provide Firefox, a functionality that the Norwegian browser has natively. If you are a user of Opera You will know that it has an option to choose how the images are loaded on the websites we visit, as can be seen in the image below.

Now Opera It only offers us 3 options:

  • None.
  • Only in Caché.
  • All.

However ImgLikeOpera It offers us 4 options improving the use of this extension:

  • None.
  • Only in Caché.
  • Only site images.
  • All.

This extension it is extremely useful when you have slow connections (as in my case) and it is quite configurable. It can be installed from the plugin manager de Firefox and you can get more information in your site. I still have to check if Chromium Do you have any complement Similary. 😉

I still think that OperaNext loads pages faster, the problem is that WordPress sites don't load well ... and to write articles I have to use Firefox.

Don't be pesky with Opera Next. It is true that it is quite fast and manages the cache like no other browser, but it has two serious problems:

1- It does not work well on some sites (example WordPress).
2- It consumes too much RAM.
