Adding CodeNinja to <º Linux

After a few months offline and with hosting problems in our university the CodeNinja community we have spoken with the desdelinux.net to "move" here, which becomes official with this post.

Name

When we moved here one of the problems we had is the name, because there are already some places that have names equal or similar therefore we had to change the name to something that would identify us. After some proposals we came up with 12 lines because 12 lines is the maximum number of lines that a function or procedure must have to be readable; it's good programming practice; and at least that is what we try to do, not only program and make things work but also make our developments simple and "understandable" to other developers.

The staff

Our staff is mainly made up of developers who mainly use Python, that's always what has brought us together. In addition to that some of us have experience with Django and we hope to collaborate in the construction of services under this diminio that help the community.

dhunter: Founder of CodeNinja, when it was called QtCoders in 2007, Python user although he has had to do many things with PHP, lover of simplicity and Zen.

^ whippersnapper ^: Python and Django user. Former Gentoo user. Everything compiles. Very effective in specific problems.

jadex: Has more experience in multiple platforms and languages. When you want to do something you always have to check with him so that he can give you the go-ahead.

ravens: The youngest of the team; he likes JavaScript and CoffeeScript; As a young man, he likes to experiment all the time with new ways of doing things and new technologies. He has a deep knowledge of the standards of various technologies that we all use but nobody cares about those things hahaha….

Yo, xiggurat, Python, Django and Spine.js user. I have several apps running at my university and I am the developer of repossess.

Some more are missing, but we have not had the opportunity to contact them because they are not inside the university.

With this post the new alliance was born 12 lines as a space for community developers DesdeLinux.net. We hope to be making posts that are of interest to blog readers and help improve services.

Happy Hacking.
Xiggurat

Well, congratulations to Eddy and company, your posts will be very useful for everyone, with you DesdeLinux will gain a lot of prestige, they will occupy a space aimed at an important sector, which is developers. Well I just have to ask you what the 12lines URL would be.
    Greetings.

Without URL, this same one... if anything we will put a label so that the developers can locate us faster. It's not that I want to be in desdelinux but separated... The thing is that for me, for example, sometimes I went to humans looking for things they posted about development and I had to search through many posts, because humans is more for users than for developers, as well as desdelinux.

Now we hope to get the developers' attention here too;).

Thank you all for the welcome.

Welcome !!!, their nicknames were already missed in these places, the truth is that they shot Codeninja, HumanOS and other UCI blogs with that server down, I don't know for what reason, it smells like bureaucracy, Greetings.

At the moment we think about giving them a space within the same blog, a sub category and a tag, then, when they are somewhat larger, it goes directly to a subdomain of ours 😀

This will help the initial impulse, as users are used to simply entering the blog directly, it would take them a little to adapt to entering another URL.

What great news is finally in the air. Others should follow suit and look for other spaces. Greetings and I hope you continue to post.

A tremendous hug to the members of Codeninja from someone who had them by their side for a long time, tell ^ WhipperSnapper ^ that there is IRC here but that I cannot connect for security reasons in JC.

    1.    KZKG ^ Gaara said

Explain to me about security reasons at JC ... send me an email.
By the way, my .CU email will no longer exist, write me directly to kzkggaara[@]desdelinux[.]NET

      1.    Hyuuga_Neji said

If the security problem is that I don't know why they won't even let me use the XMPP (jabber) protocol transports so I can't use the Pidgin-Microblog for Twitter or the Pidgin-Facebookchat as well as they won't let me enter anything having to do with IRC. The Reasons ... my provincial network admin says that "that comes from the national network so I can't go about changing it."

I just sent you an email, read it 😉

Well, I just wish them, both the team desdelinux, as well as the Codeninja community, may your interaction and collaboration enrich both projects.

    Greetings.

It would also be nice if they gave them a place in the forum. Greetings and I hope to read your articles even though I don't know anything about programming and stuff.
