Today it was announced that the popular graphical editor Inkscape has finally reached its version 1.0 after 15 years of continuous development. Even so, it is not a final version, but a first alpha compilation that will essentially serve to correct the errors that will appear with the news.
Among the novelties of this alpha version we find an updated user interface for fit better on 4K / HiDPI displays plus support for creating / applying themes.
Inkscape 1.0 brings many improvements and new features, among the most interesting we find the possibility of rotating and mirroring canvases, new options to export PNG files, option for variable fonts and elimination of a large number of strokes with a single command.
For now there has been no talk of more changes that will arrive with the final version of Inkscape 1.0 but for now we have some preliminary notes that can be read at this link, this list will be updated with more details in the coming months.
