Installation of firmware VIT A3301 in Canaima 4

VIT firmware

In this small section I will explain how to install the Firmware that comes with the device's driver CD vit A3301 (ALL IN ONE). The drivers included in this CD and its manual refer to and are only available for version 3 of Canaima, if you install canaima 4 many of these functions come preloaded. Except for example WiFi.

Installation

To install the firmware in a Canaima 4 computer, do not follow the instructions in the manual. In my case, I solved it in the following way.

All this is done as root

Copy all the contents of the CD to the hard disk:

cp/media0/Driver.tar.gz /root/

Go to the root directory:

cd root

Unzip:

tar xzfv Driver.tar.gz

cd packages dpkg -i wireless-regdb_2011.04.28-1 ~ bpo60 + 1_all.deb cd .. cd files / tar xzfv firmware.tgz cd lib / firmware

Copy everything:

cp -R * /lib/firmware/

Ready, you should already recognize the wifi adapter and solve various other problems. For those curious about the technical details of the equipment:
