 KDE fans must be more than happy. Meeting the date set for its launch, you are available the new version KDE SC 4.7 Final. It is rather a version that improves and polishes the new features introduced in previous versions. However, it brings some new "things".

New arrivals

  • Kwin, the Plasma window manager will support OpenGL-ES 2.0, improving performance and availability on mobile devices.
  • Dolphin, the wonderful KDE file manager receives improvements in its interface and in the search for files using metadata.
  • KDM, the KDE login manager now interfaces with the Grub2 bootloader
  • Marble, the virtual globe now supports offline search, making the portable version especially useful for travelers.
  • Navigation improvements in the Applications Menu: KickOff
  • New shadow system in KWin.
  • New versions 2.0 of KMail and DigiKam.
  • New Oxygen icons.
  • Instant messenger improvements, now integrated directly into the desktop.
  • Improvements in multimedia and Nepomuk.
  • About 12,000+ bugs fixed, including 2,000 from this latest version alone.

    I hope they include it in the openSUSE 12.1 version
