Well people, this is my first contribution, I hope it is original and useful, well nothing, I got a love for QT and KDE seeing all this from Gnome Shell and that GTK applications can not round the context menus (yes, it sounds it's crazy that I look at those details, but hey, it's part of the combo of being a little crazy xD)
in short without saying more, here goes:
Well this is Kubuntu Default:
We will start with the effects, I will put a series of images of how I configure them:
I really like the layout that OSX uses, so I'll move the panel up:
bespin:
- build-essential
- cmake
- kde-workspace-dev
- libxrender-dev
- libxext-dev
- libqt4-dev
- libx11-dev
- kdebase-workspace-dev
- kdelibs5-dev
- subversion
sudo apt-get install build-essential cmake kde-workspace-dev libxrender-dev libxext-dev libqt4-dev libx11-dev kdebase-workspace-dev kdelibs5-dev subversion
svn co https://cloudcity.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/cloudcity
cd cloudcity
./configure
when you ask:
--> Do you want to compile with KDE support? [Y/n]
We answer: y
It will ask:
--> Do you want to run a cmake GUI to adjust the configuration? [y/N]
cd build && make && sudo make install
I will take as a basis the LeoLike Simple V2
http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/Leo-like-bespin%20pack?content=118823
Once downloaded and unzipped, we import it from bespin:
We give load:
I remove the separator between the buttons (if it can be configured if you want between 2 consecutive buttons to draw a separating line or not)
Effects for the tab change. I prefer the traditional:
Rounded edges:
I like the comboxes to be raised (raised) instead of embedded (sunken):
Color adjustments in titlebar:
Oops, I missed ticking amarok xD
I like the colors a little lighter (we have to drag them to where we want)
This is how it remains:
These rounded edges spoke <3 (this is what I hate about gtk because it can't be done):
Now to configure the border of the window:
The effect that is achieved:
Well now I'm going to install the plasma Caledonia theme:
http://malcer.deviantart.com/art/Caledonia-Plasma-KDE-Theme-213719701
Once downloaded and unzipped, you have to move this folder
To the address:
Now to remove the task manager and put the global menu:
Let's go through the "dock":
Let's go for the icons:

Well, that was it, I hope it helps you, this is mine (I will soon die because I will change distro haha):
Well ... everyone expresses how it was best, thank you for sharing your experience.
Wooo, how good it was for you. It makes me quite a Gnome 2-3, very good. It's actually a post with a different structure than usual hahaha. Good contribution.
Haha yes, break with the posts you are used to seeing, that made me fear the worst, but sincerely I wanted to advertise Bespin, it is a very interesting project, and I hope with this people see what can be achieved with KDE, and the level of configuration that Bespin offers 🙂
As soon as I have time, I test it on Chakra.
Very cool! On a question, I see that you used a graphical element called "Window Menu Bar" that gives a style like the Mac and Ubuntu menus to the panel
Not sure if it is available for Arch-Linux?
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/kdeplasma-applets-menubar/ It is this, but in Archlinux the appmenu-gtk packages are always broken (you need appmenu-gtk and appmenu-qt to export their respective menus)
Thank you very much for the tutorial, it has given me some ideas.
What distro will you change to and the main reasons why. Good post.
Greetings from Argentina.
Greetings from Argentina too xD haha to Gentoo, and the reasons, is because it is my favorite distro haha, I love to put my hand, and for me the fastest (obviously because of the degree of customization that one puts it) right now I am from Gentoo, I was on Kubuntu, because he sent me some batons in Gentoo and I broke everything haha, I was giving up and I needed something to get out of trouble xD
I'm going to do it right now. Thanks a lot

Thanks for the contribution, you look great; I just installed kubuntu 12.04, first I will see how much I like it and then I will modify it.

I have tried almost 30 distros and have never been able to get off Debian. Gentoo is a very good decision I totally agree, I have installed it many times in virtualbox and then to disk but when I start to experiment something always breaks and although it still works very well I prefer to install everything from scratch, but the one that best It worked was Funtoo linux, the installation was done from Debian Squeeze and an undefined partition that I always leave to install another linux like that when I want to, I quit the chroot and I continue in Debian without having to restart and vice versa. Now I am with Linux mint and Debian Wheezy (kde) which by the way is very fast and stable, I am using this tutorial to customize it. This is a great blog for some time now I have been reading it and it has progressed a lot, apart from the fact that they treat new users very well, which I have not seen in other Debian forums. Someday I hope to have a machine with only Funtoo but there is still a lot to learn. Greetings from Argentina and do not decline ha ha ...
haha I've been watching funtoo, honestly I don't find many differences with gentoo, so I opted for the more veteran xD haha, now I'm doing a bit of surgery with bash xD scripts, and Gentoo comes in handy, I have a gentoo-update (it basically concatenates a a lot of sentences for emerge, to do a whole update) a VMware start \ stop that raises the vmware daemon or it for xD, some that I make so that when I connect the notebook to the charger it puts the video card in maximum performance and I Warn by a sign and when it is in battery mode it puts it in energy saving mode and it also warns hahaha I loved bash xD. Sorry if you have to click the images several times to see them bigger: v
You could put some of those gentoo-update scripts in the PASTE, the flags in the make.conf are the ones that cost me the most but little by little I take his hand as I know what exactly I want for my system and that is accomplished very well with gentoo / funtoo.

there it goes maybe they will serve you, in the make.conf the CFLAGS that I have are somewhat special, it is because I am using graphite, a very interesting technology to increase the speed of the cycles, users report up to 30% more performance, honestly from that I install it with the latest GCC (since the one that comes by default does not recognize the flags of my processor well) and graphite, the speed is impressive

Thanks x11tete11x you will help me a lot, I found the packageuse ordering interesting, the graphite thing is new for me. MAKEOPTS = »- j9 ″ + graphite I don't want to know what that runs xD. Regards.
Great, I just installed it without problems ... I guess then I put the images in G +
