KDE includes Trojitá, an IMAP email client

For the one who, as I did not know TrojitaWe are talking about an IMAP mail client written in Qt that is characterized by being fast and light. If you ask me, I would say Trojita will be KDE what your Geary a Elementary OS.

The reasons why KDE has accepted Trojita as an official application I do not know them, but its developer has left some clues over here. Something to be thankful for is the fact that they can use Trojita without having to install KDE, although its developer intends that in the future, there is some option to achieve a good integration Application of.

I find it interesting that Trojita become part of KDE PIM, especially because many users (like me) do not see with very good eyes that need to use KMail by Akonadi, or simply because it is a fast application for daily use.

There is still a lot to do, but according to the article I referenced earlier, Trojita It is having an important increase in terms of contributions in its development by the Community. So we already have one more alternative ..

Download Trojitá Stable

I owe the installation steps to them, because now I don't have time to compile .. If someone is excited, they should take into account that they have to g ++ y qt4-qmake.. Later, unzip the file and enter the directory with a terminal .. Then execute:

$ mkdir _build; cd _build $ qmake CONFIG + = debug ../trojita.pro $ make -j4

    The program is interesting | I have Kmail disabled because as you say drag other applications to have it perfect | I currently use thunderbird | which is simple for me.

    I just compiled the git version in debian testing.
    I have had no problem compiling, I was only missing a dependency zlib1g-dev.
    Stable version doesn't compile, ends with this error:
    /bin/sh: 1: lconvert: not found
    that I have not investigated yet.
    It gives a very good feeling, fast and comfortable.
    regards
