I tried it several months ago. And it works very well. But the negative point is that it is based on a distro that is already a few years old and it did not work so well for me in a more modern notebook. The own tools it brings are incredible! Cadence, Claudia, Carla .. Even though as I said before, being based on 14.04 I struggled a lot to activate the wifi, which with 16.04 did not happen to me. But if your laptop is not very rare, and you use it to produce music ... you have to try it! The applications work the first time, without delay, or anything!

Very good, all musicians should try it, but ...
You have lacked details, (Although it can be seen) to say that it is KDE, that the kernel is Real Time (RT) as in all Studio distros because it greatly improves audio production, and that the RT of the lnux kernel is better than the no RT from MS WOS or OSX kernels. It also has very well configured music peripheral connection plugins that are a headache when you want to install and configure them on your own.

Well, it's interesting ... I have to do a lot of multimedia work, and it would be interesting to try it
From what I see and do not like, it is version 4 of KDE that is horrendous until it is impossible
For the rest, I will possibly try it

Can be installed on an old machine ?????
I have a machine with 512 mb of ram, and I'm thinking of installing Linux on it ... Maybe it will work.

Very good contribution. I use OpenSUSE but I have it configured ("by hand") to be able to use Jack and it works for me, but it is a "modernized" device ("by hand" too, hahaha), so the KXStudio option for more modest equipment without stop being for the professional field, I think it is a great initiative.

I cry every day that the KX guys put out a new distro. Sound on Linux was always horrendous, disastrous, complicated, and frustrating; Suddenly KXStudio appeared and its tools brought a breath of new air to the sound in Linux, but do not be happy, the canonical and company are already putting obstacles to the KX repositories
in focal fossa things are not going so well
and the sound is again a horrible gibberish
Make no mistake Linux, great for the office, watching a movie, checking email, writing a letter
For everything else, there is no color, the windows, despite the desire that we all have to send them to the redmond to m….
