LDD: Cinnarch, Arch + Cinnamon

Cinnarch is a Live CD, based on Arch Linux and that implements the desktop environment Cinnamon (that fork of GNOME Shell that was initially developed by Linux Mint).

Cinnarch's goal is to produce a modern, sleek and powerful system; an operating system based on one of the best Linux distributions out there, Arch Linux, combining it with the visual interface of Linux Mint.



  • As a web browser: Chromium
  • To connect with social networks: Hotot
  • To chat: Pidgin
  • For Office: LibreOffice
  • For torrent downloads: Transmission
  • As a music organizer and player: Xnoise
  • As a video player: Totem (and with all the necessary codecs to play any video you want.)

    I tested it from live and I loved it, I think that to install it it still lacks a hit of the oven, it is in alpha phase, but it is on the right track, a distro that when it is in its final version I will surely test it installed for a while . hug!!
